Terms of service
The terms on which we provide coordination services. Last updated September 19, 2026.
What we do
China Medical Care is a medical care facilitator. We coordinate treatment with independent hospitals and clinicians in China: we review the information you send, route your case to a suitable department, obtain quotes and invitation letters, and arrange interpretation, transport and accommodation.
What we do not do
We do not practise medicine. We are not a hospital, clinic or medical provider. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, we do not prescribe, and we do not make clinical decisions. Nothing on this website and nothing said to you by our staff is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation for treatment.
Your treating hospital and its clinicians are solely responsible for your medical care, including the decision to treat, the conduct of any procedure, and the management of any complication. They are independent of us; they are not our employees or agents.
We are not immigration advisers. We obtain the hospital invitation letter your application may need, but the application is yours to make and the decision rests with the Chinese authorities.
How we are paid
Our case review is free to you. We receive compensation from partner hospitals when a patient we introduce is treated. You should take that into account when weighing anything we say about a hospital. Where we charge you directly for a coordination service, we state the amount in writing before you commit to it.
Quotes and prices
Prices we publish or quote are estimates based on information available at the time, and are stated with the date they were verified. They are not offers, and they are not guaranteed. Actual cost depends on your clinical situation, on findings during treatment, and on the hospital’s own pricing, which can change. Currency movement affects any figure quoted in US dollars. The hospital, not us, sets and collects the price of your treatment.
No warranty over third parties
We do not warrant or guarantee the services of any hospital, clinician, interpreter, hotel, airline or other third party, nor any particular medical outcome. We select partners with care and hold contracts with them, but we cannot and do not promise that treatment will succeed or that complications will not occur.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or relating to these terms or our services is limited to the amount you have actually paid China Medical Care for coordination services. We are not liable for medical malpractice, negligence or any act or omission of a hospital, clinician or other third party; for indirect, incidental or consequential loss; or for lost income, travel costs or expenses arising from cancelled, delayed or unsuccessful treatment.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, complete medical information. A quote built on incomplete records is not reliable.
- Tell your own clinician that you are considering treatment abroad, and take their advice on it.
- Make your own decision about whether to travel and whether to be treated.
- Hold valid travel documents and meet the entry requirements for your passport.
- Arrange your own travel and medical insurance. Most policies exclude planned treatment abroad; check yours.
Cancellation
You may stop at any point before treatment begins. Amounts already paid to a hospital, airline or hotel are subject to that provider’s own terms, which we will set out in writing before you commit. Where we have charged a coordination fee, our cancellation terms are stated in the service agreement you sign.
Content on this site
We work to keep this site accurate and to date our clinical and pricing information, but entry rules, hospital capabilities and prices change. Content is general information, not advice about your case. Content, design and marks on this site belong to us or our licensors. Hospital names and logos belong to those hospitals.
Who may use this service
You must be 18 or older to engage us. Where we coordinate treatment for a minor, we deal with a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the child’s behalf.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and China Medical Care submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
If you are a consumer resident somewhere else, this does not take away rights you hold under the mandatory consumer protection law of your own province, state or country, where that law says those rights cannot be contracted out of.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. The terms that apply to your case are those in force when you engaged us.
If part of this is unenforceable
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continue in force and the provision is read down to the minimum extent necessary. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
The whole agreement
These terms, together with any written service agreement and quote we provide for your case, are the entire agreement between us on this subject. Where a signed service agreement and these terms conflict, the service agreement governs.
