About

Who we are

China Medical Care coordinates medical treatment in China for patients travelling from the United States and Canada.

Who runs it

What we do

We hold contracts with hospitals in China and employ case managers and medical interpreters on the ground there. When you send us a diagnosis, a case manager reads it, routes it to the department best suited to it, and comes back with a named clinician and an itemised quote. If you travel, someone meets you at the airport and is with you through admission, treatment and discharge.

The six stages of a trip set out what that looks like in practice, and what treatment costs gives a sense of scale before you ask.

How we are paid

Our case review is free to you. We are compensated by partner hospitals when a patient we introduce is treated. We think you should know that before you read anything else we say about a hospital. It is also why we route cases by clinical fit rather than by which partner has capacity, and why we tell people when travelling is the wrong call — a service that only ever says yes is not worth asking.

What we are not

We are not a hospital and not a medical provider. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we do not make clinical decisions — your treating hospital is responsible for your care. We are not an immigration adviser: we obtain the hospital invitation letter your visa application needs, but the application is yours to file and the decision rests with the Chinese authorities. Nothing on this site is medical advice.

How we handle what you send us

Medical records you submit are encrypted in transit and at rest, and shared only with the clinical team assessing your case and the hospital being asked to treat you. We ask for explicit consent before any of it crosses a border, and we record when that consent was given. Our privacy policy sets out the detail.
